This short film, created by @Highland Rewilding, tells the story of Let Us Grow (LUG), a GURCA initiative at Glen Urquhart Care Centre, delivered in partnership with @Highland Rewilding and the Care Centre, and supported by the wider community. In our first season, something powerful began to take root: 🌿 People connecting 🌿 Skills being shared 🌿 Food being grown and distributed locally 🌿 A space evolving for community, wellbeing, and resilience This is just the beginning. 🎉 Reopening the Glen Urquhart Public Hall | A Community Celebration 🎶 After a period of transformation, the Glen Urquhart Public Hall is open once again, and this video captures a special moment as the community came together to celebrate its reopening. From music and laughter to familiar faces and new connections, the evening marked more than just the reopening of a building; it was the return of a shared space at the heart of the Glen. The hall was officially opened by Alan Bell, who served as a Hall Committee member for an incredible 58 years! A reflection of the dedication and care that has sustained this space across generations. Hosted by GURCA’s Chair, Susan Griffin, the Hall is owned and managed by GURCA (Glen Urquhart Rural Community Association). It plays a key role in community life, hosting events, supporting local groups, and providing a welcoming space for people to gather, connect, and create.
