“One of the most instantly recognisable voices in current music … Shades of Joni Mitchell in a jam with Karen Carpenter and Lana Del Rey.” —Neil March, Trust The Doc

Born in Madrid (to a Spanish father and an American mother), raised in Chicago and holding dual Irish and American citizenship, Sarah McQuaid has made England her permanent residence since 2007. Her sixth solo album The St Buryan Sessions was recorded and filmed live in the beautiful medieval church of St Buryan, not far from Sarah’s home in rural West Cornwall. Released in October 2021 on CD and limited-edition double LP, it features stunning solo performances by Sarah on acoustic and electric guitars, piano and floor tom drum, her lush, distinctive vocals echoing through the soaring space.

Tickets also available on the door subject to availability (cash or cheque only)

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon then with great music, good company and a darn fine slice of cake and a cuppa?

we are delighted to welcome singer-songwriter Sarah McQuaid to the Craigmonie Centre.

Sarah has a wide repertoire of songs that includes traditional Irish songs and Appalachian folk, as well as her own compositions. Her rich singing voice is complemented by accomplished guitar playing.

I've attended hundreds of concerts of all kinds, and her subtle mastery onstage launches her straight into my fave shows ever, The Huffington Post.

".......... A beautiful voice to wallow in and absorbing music. A wide range of top notch songs, with acoustic and electric guitar, a smattering of piano, side drum and a cappella; from the simplest of clear notes to complex swathes of sound, mixed live..... Beautiful stuff. The Greys, Brighton
